ANYTHING BUT LOVE The Cannon Beach Boys - Book Two by AE Jensen & Courtney W. Dixon Release Date: June 30, 2026 Review Terrific story. Emotional, poking at a bruise kind of story. An almost enemies to lovers romance. When Wes meets his hero, a competitive runner who disappeared for years, reappearing as a coach. Jett is still raw from his lost career and the end of his relationship with his father. Clawing his way back to a life that feels like it’s functioning. Only to stumble upon Wes, a talkative, effusive fan. They feel a bit like oil and water, but they can’t stay away. And even though Jett keeps trying to reinforce his walls, Wes is persistent, and waits him out. Lots of great character development, and two men who feel real and raw. Now that I have a stable job as a physical therapist at th...

SPITTING OFF THE EDGE OF THE WORLD Not Strong Enough - Book One by Courtney W. Dixon Release Date: May 5, 2026 Review This pulls no punches on the heavy emotions, straight out of the gate! Definitely read the CWs. Two broken men find a second chance in the most unexpected ways. But their future is bright, especially with the backdrop of their past. Who knew running from your past would also mean running to a beautiful future. Romeo and Julien have seen too much, but for two weeks, Julien wants to do all the carefree things he had always wished he could do, and he’s bringing Romeo along for the ride. It’s lovely to see them find joy, safety, and love.   Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis I found you just when I thought my life was over. REVIEW: House of Cards by Courtney W Dixon (Not in the Cards #1)

Image
HOUSE OF CARDS Not In the Cards - Book One by Courtney W. Dixon Release Date: March 16, 2026 Review Such a lovely story. It’s a break from some of Courtney’s darker, bloodier works (which I also love), more reminiscent of the first books that brought her into my life. Sarcastic, hardworking and hardplaying Cal is a committed bachelor and childphobic. However, his next-door neighbour is Seth, gentle, kind single father of three. They annoy each other! Then one day, everything changes for Cal and Seth is there to help him through it all. And trust me, a man who can show vulnerability, adopt a kitten for a grieving kid, and love kids that aren’t his, is hella attractive. I love the slow burn of grouchy neighbours, to friends, to lovers path that they take. It’s a great story. Word of warning - there is a number of deaths discussed and dealt with.  Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis "I never wanted nor was I supposed to be a father. Now, I'm having to foster a 14-year-...

REVIEW: Edged by Courtney W Dixon (Sweet & Twisted #2)

EDGED Sweet & Twisted - Book Two by Courtney W. Dixon Release Date: January 13, 2026 Review Definitely a Courtney story, with emotion, connection and a compelling narrative, but with high, high heat. Hugh is a playboy who frequently remains oblivious to others' feelings. His best friend is his cousin, his ride or die, but because Atlas will do anything for him, he sometimes forgets to truly see Atlas. But enter Linden, the perfect play partner for this duo. And the more time spent together, the more they all start to want something more. Open and honest communication is the key, but that’s easier said than done.  It’s a bit of a struggle to sort out their own feelings and get out of their own way, but once they do, they build something special and unique. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis They were my kings, and they made me their princess. Atlas I’ve always wanted to be a famous artist. But it will never happen. So, I’ve settled and applied for a job as a PA ...
