This is an excellent audiobook. Michael Lesley is thoroughly engaging and brings it to life.  I didn’t want it to stop. Garrick and Tan are such wonderful characters.  Garrick is a reclusive dragon King and it’s such a compelling backstory that brought him to this point. I can’t imagine what he’s lived through.  And I love Tan, such a great heart who sees the good even before he understands Garrick. The whole story is fascinating and as the story unfolds and more information is revealed you become obsessed with finding out how it ends. Which, I’ll be side-eying dolls and mistletoe from here on out! These two are a wonderful couple, parents to a tribe of children, spouses, and grandkids. I enjoy them because though they are clearly still in love so many years on, they are very real feeling.  Sniping and growling as couples do. But their deep love for each other and their family reigns supreme. As is their dedication to people.  It was a fun saga, as they and many of their family fight these possessed toys while trying to figure out who’s doing it. Remi is such a lovely person, who comes from a large, warm, and very protective family. But they’ve also all found their soul mates, and it’s the one thing he really feels like he’s missing. So when he finds him, he’ll fight to keep him. It’s fun and swoony story, set in a really interesting world. There’s a bit of mystery about how they’ll battle the evil dude who has Remi in his gripe. Not just because I find it beautiful, but because it forces me to see love and relationships in a different light. And this anthology included a lot of stories that went beyond the throuple, which I see less of and really enjoyed.   The anthology also covers a bunch of different tropes which is fun. FALLING ON SCHEDULE BY SAGE ABBOTT 4* A beautiful exploration of a couple looking to open up their relationship to be with another couple. I loved the way their lives intersected, giving it a bit of a fated feel.  It was very honested and real, while also being sweet and sexy.
