PAINT OUR SONG Cloverlily - Book One by Maia Kinley Release Date: October 22, 2024 Review Debut novel by Maia Kinley is definitely off to a great start. I really enjoyed the writing style, setting, and characters, including some really well developed side characters. It’s a slow burn between Calvin, an introverted musician going through a rocky time and Miles, an artist coming home to help dig the family Inn out of debt. They are both likeable guys, Calvin more so. I’m thankful for his bandmates Chase and Gil who are the most amazing friends, who would burn the world down for Calvin. And Calvin deserves that. I wanted more of that from Miles. I did like Miles, he was kind and had his own struggles and losses that shaped him, but he was also very self-obsessed. Not in a superficial way, rather he was always thinking about how something affected him, what he wanted, needed, etc, and he never really grew out of that habit.
