Trent’s parents are hateful, petty, and cruel people.  When Trent has finally had enough, he heads to Calston Cove to reconnect with his brother-in-law and niece, and figure out what he truly wants from life. Leaving behind his parents and his toxic ex, he finds a warm welcome and a flirty, gorgeous landscaper. They make a really sweet pair. Merlin is a lovely human being, and he’s falling hard for the man who may not be staying. I enjoyed their journey, Trent learning to shake the people who treated him badly, and building a life of love and passion. I love this series, and I especially loved seeing Merrick and his little family again.   FOR FAKE’S SAKE AND OTHER STORIES by JJ Harper Release Date: December 27, 2024 Review A collection of wonderful short stories with some wonderfully diverse pairings that will make swoon and fan yourself. Some fake dating, some daddy’s, and some sweet men finding love.  I enjoyed them all but I think Elliot and Noah are my favourites. Age gap, different worlds, but both equally strong personalities, they have to work for it a bit, but it’s definitely worth it in the end. They are definitely a strong match and you can’t help but cheer when it all works out. Read them all at once or sprinkle them amongst other books.
