REVIEW: Blade by Shaw Montgomery (Legends Series)

Image
BLADE Legends Series by Shaw Montgomery Release Date: August 7, 2026 Review What makes a Legend a Legend? And are legends really just misunderstood? A murder kitty isn’t what the world believed. As Henley discovers when he tries to hunt The Beast of Bladenboro and finds himself ensnared with only the monster to save him. Henley is slightly chaotic and very sweet, which feels perfect for a shifter who’s trapped in a distorted version of his shifted self, with no understanding of what’s really happening. It’s a really interesting tale as they sort out what happened and how to save Blaine, and of course navigate their relationship. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Hunting The Beast of Bladenboro was supposed to be foolproof. It wasn’t a sentient creature I could have coffee with or chat with online. It wasn’t running an online jewelry store or complaining about how humans ruin the national parks. It wasn’t even on the list for the Solstice Festival. It should’ve been a ...

REVIEW: Footsteps of the Past by Felice Stevens (Second Chances #2)

Image
FOOTSTEPS OF THE PAST Second Chances - Book Two by Felice Stevens Release Date: July 21, 2021 Review Chess and Andre have been together for nine years. I was leary at first; jumping into an established couple's romance normally comes with tragedy, upheaval, and pain. And though there was some turmoil here, it wasn’t as chaotic as I thought it might. I really liked them together, but I will admit there were a number of times I really questioned how long they had been together; they didn’t seem to know each other well enough to have been together for as long as they had. And though that deterred me in the beginning, the rest of the story felt powerful and real.  I was invested in their story and its outcome and was glad I was there for its journey. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis It was like in the movies: their eyes met from across the room and they fell in love. Nine years later, Chess and André are the envy of all their friends. But this is real life….and thing...

REVIEW: The Handyman and the Barkeep by AM Arthur (Snow Creek Ranch Series)

Image
THE HANDYMAN AND THE BARKEEP Snow Creek Ranch Series by AM Arthur Release Date: February 28, 2024 Review The Snow Creek Ranch multi-author series has not steered me wrong! I have thoroughly enjoyed every book so far, and this installment by AM Arthur is no different. Malcolm, the town handyman and sometimes barkeep, thrives on being there for people, including bar owner Howie when he falls sick. And with that, Iggy returns to town. Town native turned city boy mixologist, he stumbles back into small town life (with flair). It’s a great reunion. I mean it’s awkward, a bit stumbling, and hella healing. It also includes some wonderful new and old characters that help make this series feel so warm. Like you’ve been there yourself. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Sometimes second chances arrive on red-eye flights... Malcolm Montgomery will moonlight as almost anything, if you need him to do the job. While he enjoys being the preferred handyman at Snow Creek Ranch, his favo...

THE LIBRARIAN’S FAMILIAR Familiar Mates - Book Thirteen by TJ Nichols Release Date: June 28, 2026 Review A fun story with a sweet, almost soft romance. Two men trying to figure themselves and their futures out, finding someone to share the journey with. I look forward to catching up on other stories in this series. They feel warm, cozy, with a hint of adventure. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Some secrets keep you alive. Others can get you killed. After nearly twenty years away, August North is heading back to the small Alaskan town he once couldn’t wait to escape.
