REVIEW: Stables Spurs Suits by Becca Jackson (Beaker Brothers Ranch #3)

STABLES SPURS SUITS Beaker Brothers Ranch - Book Three by Becca Jackson Release Date: July 30, 2026 Review I adore Beaker Brothers Ranch. This diverse group of softies, taking in random animals who need a home, caring for one another in their own way, and finding love. I love Becca’s writing style, creating characters that feel fulsome and funny with plenty of depth. And Atlas and Matthew are a lot of fun.  The corporate assistant who wears business attire, even in this tiny country town, mixed with the horse whisperer who would happily not wear clothes. They are a bit of an odd pair, but that’s also what makes them work so perfectly. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Welcome to Beaker Brothers Ranch. Part dairy farm, part animal sanctuary, and presently home to one nudist horseman who doesn’t believe in happily ever afters. Altas Summers is Beaker Brothers' resident horse whisperer. Kind, gentle, charming, and if you happen to wander past his out-of-the-way trail...

REVIEW: Mr Trick Play by Becca Jackson (The Playmakers #1)

MR TRICK PLAY The Playmakers - Book One by Becca Jackson Release Date: March 31, 2026 Review I love a rookie vs veteran romance. In Mr. Trick Play, Luka is the young rookie who plays with wild abandon, while Reid is the veteran captain who like his hockey played tight and with precision. It’s a match made in heaven. With plenty of delicious tension and hot and cold back and forth, these two end up being extremely cute, and build something lovely. And in the end the bring out the absolute best in each other. And we get some great cameos in it too. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Luka I've dreamed of being in the NHL since I was a kid, and even though I wasn't drafted to the same team as my best friend, Cosmo, I'm determined to prove I belong here. But when I meet my new no-nonsense captain, veteran defenseman Reid Raines, there is just one problem. Reid isn't impressed by my flashy moves. In fact, he's determined to rein in risk-takers like me and teac...

REVIEW: Puck Shots by Becca Jackson (Love The Game #5)

PUCK SHOTS Love The Game - Book Five by Becca Jackson Release Date: October 7, 2025 Review I love a jock who roots for people and appreciates someone different from themselves.  I especially love how this hockey player and science student find common ground in both their passions. Eli is out of place in the KOK house, but with the help of Cosmo, he finds his footing in a mostly sporty frat.  These two have something special.  Both embracing who each other is, often in small ways, and it is all kinds of wonderful. And the way they hype each other up to follow their dreams is pure goodness. The story is a lot of fun too.  Taking place largely during frat pledging season as well as in the hockey rink.  There’s a lot of good-natured fun and ribbing, with plenty of amazing friends and family who make you smile. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis I’m here to play hockey, get drafted, and maybe break a few campus records while I’m at it. My plan is sim...

REVIEW: Home Hearts Hooves by Becca Jackson (Beaker Brothers Ranch #1)

HOME HEARTS HOOVES Beaker Brothers Ranch - Book One by Becca Jackson Release Date: May 25, 2025 Review My kind of farm! Full of misfits and lots of cuddles. These two had such great chemistry, and the premise of the story was a lot of fun and super sweet.  And while being touching and sweet, it also had plenty of Becca Jackson’s characteristic humour.  There were a number of times I laughed out loud. I really enjoyed the Vet and Rancher mix, especially with the lifetime of tongue-tied history that they have. Not only were Dean and Doc extremely likable, all-around good guys, but they are also surrounded by some pretty awesome people. They are also super supportive and loving, but give each other crap too!  They're the kind of people who make you excited to read more of the series. You just know this whole series will be your happy palace. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Beacker Brothers Ranch is part dairy farm, part animal sanctuary, even more so sinc...

REVIEW: Totally Opposed by Becca Jackson (Love in Play #3)

TOTALLY OPPOSED Love In Play - Book Three by Becca Jackson Release Date: October 10, 2024 Review Brought together by the dance routines they are doing as banana ball players who get to play star-crossed lovers at the games.  It helps they already had a crush on each other. They may play for opposing teams but that doesn’t stop them from playing together too. This is a really nice story with two fun and kind guys. I enjoyed the narrative around Alan’s curmudgeonly grandfather who is also Ryan’s neighbour. Them jointly caring for and about the man really helped cement their relationship and made for some but also sweet moments. We also get to see plenty of the rest of the teams to make us smile. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Alan When you’re crushing on a guy, the last thing you want is to get caught singing their name while naked in the locker-room showers. Thankfully, Ryan pretended not to notice. I can play the denial game with the best of them, but I can’t ignore t...
