REVIEW: Delicious Chartiy Anthology: Part One

Image
DELICIOUS Anthology Release Date: May 27, 2025 Review I feel like a food-themed anthology was made for me! And the list of authors is *chef’s kiss* But it’s also a hefty one, so I’ll be back with more as i keep reading. A HOT DISH: ANNABETH ALBERT I love when an ‘I only do casual’ guy discovers he has, in fact, been dating and *gasp* has feelings! Especially a silver fox neighbour. Ah, the power of a thank you casserole. I’m going to have to try that technique. Mount Hope is such a great town, with some of loveliest, sexiest couples.  PIECE OF CAKE: BETH BOLDEN The Moretti’s have the unwitting power to make anyone fall in love. That’s not always the superpower it would seem. Sometimes it brings yummy pavlova, other times it’s a fruit salad being pelted at you! FEEDING THE GRUMP: JAX CALDER Oh, oblivious, grumpy farmer!  I love their neighbourly ‘food war’ they were having in between bickering. It’s absolutely adorable. DELICIOUSLY COOKIE: VAWN CASSIDY Vawn’s ‘Belong To ...

THE HAUNTED HOTEL 2 Crawshanks Guide to Mischievous Spectres & Spirits - Book Two by Vawn Cassidy Release Date: May 21, 2025 Review And we’re back!  Morgan and Ellis are still trying to save the hotel, which isn’t easy when it’s in financial trouble and it’s home to a bunch of chaos-loving ghosts. Ellis is hosting a ghostly murder mystery weekend event in honour of the Legend of Lovers Hollow as way to try and draw in some guests.  The resident ghosts are excited, they love playing with the fleshies, even with ‘the man’ meddling with their fun. And Morgan is back from his trip home to US. They are a cute couple, even if they are still new, but it’s hard to date with the stress of saving the hotel and ghostly menaces on the loose. Still, it’s clear to them all that they have something special. Now that Morgan’s brother is in town, things are bound to get even more exciting. He’s a delightful man who’s both sweet, supportive, and mischievous.  He’s a great additi...

REVIEW: The Haunted Hotel by Vawn Cassidy (Crawshanks Guide to Mischievous Spectres & Spirits #2)

THE HAUNTED HOTEL Crawshanks Guide to Mischievous Spectres & Spirits - Book One by Vawn Cassidy Release Date: August 24, 2024 Review This book is a cheeky good time. Full of quirky ghosts and staff who make the strangest and most wonderful family. In the aftermath of a murder-not-murder at the hotel, one in a long line of deaths at the hotel, Morgan, a grumpy workaholic from New York arrives to finally face his grandfather, the hotel's owner. It’s a past he doesn’t remember and he definitely isn’t prepared for this unusual place and the people he meets. He’s especially unprepared for the adorably sunshiny blond twink, Ellis, one of the hotel’s employees.  A story of finding one's true self and family. A place to belong. People worth fighting for. Ellis and Morgan are perfectly different from one another, which makes them an incredible match. They are going to have a lively and beautiful future. PS. I adore Morgan’s brother Warren - give me more Warren! Add to your TBR Li...

REVIEW: Forever Finn by Vawn Cassidy (Belong to Me #2.5)

Image
FOREVER FINN Belong to Me - Book 2.5 by Vawn Cassidy Release Date: September 14, 2022 Review I’ve put off reading Forever Finn because it’s the last in the series and I just couldn’t garner any excitement for it being over. I’ve loved these boys, and I’ve loved Vawn’s writing. From the outside Finn has everything. Fame, fortune, and a beautiful girlfriend. But when he finds himself unable to take it anymore, he returns to a place that used to be home. He’s been running from himself and the guilt of the past for a long time now. Whether he knows it or not, it’s time to face some truths. Wyatt also finds himself in the small cornish town needing to get away from his life back home. That’s how he finds himself working for Jamie as the new hot Canadian hunk of a Vet.  There is so much emotion here. Especially Finn. The closeted actor has to decide if he can handle staying in the closet and being unhappy for the rest of his life. If the fame and money are worth it. But meeting Wy...
