AUDIO REVIEW: Finn's Fantasy by KC Wells (Maine Men #1)

Image
FINN’S FANTASY Maine Men - Book One by KC Wells Release Date: April 7, 2021 Review I ended up jumping into this series with the last two books, so this is me finally making my way back to the beginning to catch up on all the great guys I’ve missed. Finn and Joel live in the same neighbourhood and have been ogling each other from afar, wanting to talk but too shy to make a move. But thanks to a really cute doggo they are given the nudge they need. Once the dam is broken, they can’t seem to stay away. Joel is a 42-year-old recently divorced dad of two teenagers, who is slowly trying to make his way out of the closet.  Finally happy, but also a little scared. Finn is a sweet 25-year-old carpenter looking for a home with someone. Especially a certain sexy older man who is a little useless with a tool but has an adorable dog and makes a mean lasagna. Very specific I know. LOL I loved how real these two felt, their feelings, and their problems. They’re wonderfully supportive of one other,

PREORDER BLITZ: Studious by Leslie McAdam

Image
Studious by Leslie McAdam releases on October 7th! https://geni.us/Studious FREE with Kindle Unlimited After a disastrous high school game of spin the bottle, I gave up trying to get a boyfriend and spent my time studying instead. Now I’m twenty-four, and I’m not only a virgin, I haven’t even been kissed. When I meet Danny, a handsome legal hotshot, he catches my eye. Right before I trip on flat ground. Ugh. He’s got a massive … reputation. He’s the most popular guy in the club, a total playboy with a new conquest every night. There’s no way he’d be interested in me. But one night after I imbibe too much, he winds up taking care of me. And when I ask for his help with my travesty of a social life, he agrees to teach me how to be less awkward with men … if I let him document my progress so he can win a bet with his best friend. Even though he’s just my love tutor and I’m just his apprentice, this starts to feel like more. Too bad it can’t be anything but

REVIEW: Rules of Engagement by Brigham Vaughn (Rules of the Game: Evanston River Otters #3)

Image
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT Rules of the Game - Book Four by Brigham Vaughn Release Date: September 29, 2022 Review This was a lovely story full of emotion. Two teammates, one at the beginning of his career, and the other nearing its end.  They’ve known each other for much longer than that though. Anders is also best friends with Kelly’s very overprotective brother. Kelly has been there through the years that Anders was married to the love of his life, had a daughter, and when he lost them both tragically. He loved him when he was 15, and he loves him still. As Kelly struggles to sort out whether or not he’ll ever have a chance, and Anders is struggling with accepting that it’s okay to love again, all the while worrying about Kelly being outed, and Anders contemplating what he’ll do when his career is over. There are plenty of emotions in this one, but it’s beautifully punctuated with humour and light moments. And of course plenty of steam (Kelly’s been waiting a long time, he’s not going to

REVIEW: Learning Curve by NR Walker (Franklin U #6)

LEARNING CURVE Franklin U - Book Six by NR Walker Release Date: September 29, 2022 Review This story was a treat. I loved every minute. The banter was on point, and both Cobey and Vincent were wonderful. The two of them together were so much fun, but also really kind. Seriously I laughed a lot, but I also had a lot of ‘awww’ moments. I couldn’t put it down. Cobey was absolutely fantastic. A charming and outgoing football star, and completely down to earth. He was delightful and funny and I share an affinity for his need to be fed immediately when he’s hungry! Vincent is an introvert who struggles with interacting with people. Whip-smart, but it doesn’t make him able to make friends easily. Despite his insecurities, he’s not a mess which I appreciate.  The premise was wonderful, trading tutoring services. Cobey shares his skill with people and other social interactions (wink, wink) and Vincent makes Calculus understandable. I also love how these two work together to build each other u

REVIEW: And the Best Man Ran Away With the Groom by Isla Olsen

AND THE BEST MAN RAN AWAY WITH THE GROOM by Isla Olsen Release Date: September 21, 2022 Review A charming story that was quick, sexy, and came with a fun HEA. This leans to the insta-love side of the spectrum, but with Xavier’s grumpiness, it feels like they still have to work for it.  Of course, the fact that Trent is straight also adds a hurdle.  They were both great characters. I love how optimistic and laissez-faire Trent is with everything. Including his sexuality. He makes it his mission to make sure Xavier has fun while moving on from being left at the alter, and fun they end up having! And while this was supposed to have an end date when they return home. Neither are really able to move on. If you are looking for something light and sexy this will fit the bill. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Trent There are two essential tasks on every best man’s to do list: 1. Throw a killer bucks party 2. Get the groom down the aisle The first one was a no-brainer. But the sec
