Review

I adore Beaker Brothers Ranch. This diverse group of softies, taking in random animals who need a home, caring for one another in their own way, and finding love.


I love Becca’s writing style, creating characters that feel fulsome and funny with plenty of depth. And Atlas and Matthew are a lot of fun.  The corporate assistant who wears business attire, even in this tiny country town, mixed with the horse whisperer who would happily not wear clothes.


They are a bit of an odd pair, but that’s also what makes them work so perfectly.

Synopsis

Welcome to Beaker Brothers Ranch. Part dairy farm, part animal sanctuary, and presently home to one nudist horseman who doesn’t believe in happily ever afters.


Altas Summers is Beaker Brothers' resident horse whisperer. Kind, gentle, charming, and if you happen to wander past his out-of-the-way trailer at the end of a long day, very very naked. He’s happiest with nothing between him and the world but a warm breeze, and despite his ongoing campaign to host a nudist weekend at the ranch, the Beaker brothers don’t exactly share his enthusiasm for living life quite so free.


Neither does Matthew Wilson. Straight-laced personal assistant, and corporate spy for one of the biggest beef companies in the country.


Matthew took the job thinking it would be a stepping stone into a more senior role, but from the moment he set foot on Beaker Brothers Ranch, something about the place pulled him in. Sure it’s got endless skies, and a raw, untamed beauty, but the ridiculously attractive clothing optional horseman didn’t hurt either.


Matthew has always been most at home in a tailored suit and his fast paced city life. But the more time he spends with Atlas, the more he begins to crave something different, something freer, wilder, and a lot more real.


And Atlas? He might just be the person who can show him that sometimes, letting go of everything, even your clothes, is the first step toward holding on to something that truly matters.

Quiet, a little grumpy, a little withdrawn, and maybe a little lost and lonely. Then there’s Cash - outgoing, sexual, and completely obsessed with Declan.  It’s a slow burn. One that requires both of them to shift their understanding of each other, and time to truly learn and understand both themselves and the other. I love both the trajectory of the relationship as well as the life and home they build.  It’s a truly wonderful pairing that may be my favourite in the series. Sure I see a bit of myself in Declan, but I also just adore the way Cash grew and how they balanced each other. Fenton Release Date: August 5, 2025 Review I wish there were more mystery romances out there.  I love the mystery-solving, both the entertainment value of the cases, but also as a plot point to a developing relationship. And Declan and Charlie are a dynamic duo. They have great banter, but are also caring people. Book three, and Declan and Charlie are still finding their way as boyfriends and colleagues, but it’s clear they could be amazing. And now Charlie is learning to become a detective, too. They each take on a case, but before long, they find their cases connecting. Which is perfect, because they do their best work together.
