Review

Hollywood heartthrob turned rancher!

And he hasn’t exactly made friends with the neighbour rancher, who’s thoroughly unimpressed by his money and ranch hands, aka Bodyguards.

The story was a lot of fun, and they are definitely hot together. And I love a story that involves coming out and owning your sexual orientation, especially in a rural area.

Kitt is kind, hardworking, and loyal. You totally root for him to find love and to be free.

I liked Austin, he’s a bit of a golden retriever, but he also never respects boundaries, lies (by omission) numerous times, and makes decisions for Kitt without talking to him. So, I think I like who he could be, more than who he is.

Synopsis

In recognition of current economic challenges, all Kindle Alexander titles have been reduced in price and will remain so for the foreseeable future

Description:

When two-time Academy Award winner Austin Grainger walks away from Hollywood at the height of his fame, the world thinks he’s lost his mind. But after years of flashing cameras and relentless headlines, Austin wants something real. On fifteen hundred quiet Texas acres, he finally finds peace, that is until the rancher next door makes his presence known.

Kitt Kelly isn’t the typical Texas rancher. Young, sharp, and fiercely devoted to the land his family built, he’s spent most of his life keeping one dangerous secret: he’s gay. In a community where reputation and tradition run deep, coming out would cost him everything.

When the sexiest man alive moves in next door, the spark between them is impossible to ignore. But giving in could expose Kitt’s secret and threaten the legacy he’s sworn to protect.

Now they must decide, play it safe or risk everything for a love neither of them saw coming.

Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life - I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations - regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal. I don't want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend.
