HARVEST HEAT

Frostwick Harbor - Book One

Release Date: August 20, 2026

Review

I love a misunderstood guy. And Rhys is definitely misunderstood by many. Though thankfully, he also has a crew of people who totally get him and have his back.

Rhys is the hometown native, so he knows firsthand what life is like in a small town, and its gossip mill.

Caleb is a transplant who has opened a ‘rival’ coffee shop. He’s a sunshiny man who loves sweet, flavourful coffee concoctions. And he’s completely intrigued by Rhys and his coffee purest shop.

The attraction is evident, and over time they connect secretly.  Both romantically and to create a drink for the upcoming festival.

Rhys is completely wrapped up in the idea of keeping everything between them secret. This causes some push and pull between them.

It’s a fun story, with some entertaining side characters and lots of small-town charm.

Synopsis

Rhys likes his life controlled, quiet, and predictable. At Frost + Foam, every espresso shot is measured to perfection and every routine carefully maintained. The last thing Rhys wants is a distraction, especially not the annoyingly cheerful owner of the new coffee shop down the block.

Caleb arrives in Frostwick Harbor determined to make Cloud Nine Coffee a success. His café is full of seasonal drinks, mismatched tables, and chatty customers. Caleb gets along with everyone, and he can’t understand why the gorgeous, sharp-tongued man at Frost + Foam refuses to speak to him.

When the Harvest Festival committee pressures them into collaborating on a signature fall drink, Rhys reluctantly agrees. He knows working side by side with Caleb will be torture. Not because they disagree on everything about coffee, but because Rhys finds Caleb far too hot and intriguing. Caleb’s warmth slips past Rhys’s defenses, and Rhys gives up control of more than just lattes.

But Caleb wants a relationship lived openly, while Rhys has spent his whole life avoiding scrutiny and small-town gossip. Falling for Caleb means embracing attention, vulnerability, and the terrifying possibility of being truly seen.

As autumn settles over Frostwick Harbor, Rhys must choose between protecting the ordered life he's always known and taking a chance on the man who makes him want more

Harvest Heat is a cozy MM romance with plenty of spice featuring grumpy/sunshine dynamics, opposites attract, small-town charm, a neurodivergent hero, and plenty of fall vibes.

About Silvia Violet

Silvia Violet writes bad boy M/M romance. She can be found haunting coffee shops looking for the darkest, strongest cup of coffee she can find. Once equipped with the needed fuel, she can happily sit for hours pounding away at her laptop. Silvia typically leaves home disguised as a suburban stay-at-home-mom, and other coffee shop patrons tend to ask her hilarious questions like "Do you write children's books?" She loves watching the looks on their faces when they learn what she's actually up to. When not writing, Silvia enjoys baking sinfully delicious treats, exploring new styles of cooking, and reading to her incorrigible offspring.
