Blog Tour, Excerpt & Giveaway: The Professor's Date By Lane Hayes The Script Club, Book 5 The professor, the hair stylist, and a wedding date… Tommy Help! My sister is getting married and according to her, I need a date. And a makeover. I’m a busy man, though. I don’t have time to meet eligible bachelors, and the tape holding my glasses together works just fine. Until my hair stylist steps on them.  Yes, Noah, my dazzling dreamboat of a hair guru created a mini disaster, but I don’t mind at all. He’s a sweet, funny, kind jock who— Screech!  No jocks. I have nothing in common with sporty people.  Except…Noah is different.  Noah I don’t date. However, I’m not opposed to offering fashion advice to a sexy professor in need. A haircut, a quick shopping expedition...  Boom!  Mission accomplished.  Not so fast. I’ve misjudged the situation and my attraction to the geek with the tragic sense of style. Sure, Thomas is too smart for me b...

REVIEW: Frat Wars: Master of Mayhem by Saxon James

Review: Really enjoyed these BFFs. Constantly bickering like an old married couple until they realize perhaps, one day, they could be just that. Robbie is wild, carefree and a bit of a player. So it’s not a surprise that when he starts questioning his sexuality he starts hitting up his friends to help him figure it out. Enter Brandon, reliable, steady, and straight. He’s never had reason to question his sexuality until Robbie kisses him. Witnessing the two of them navigate their charged sexual feelings and their changing emotional feelings was completely hilarious, but also super sweet. Mixed with the chaos of Robbie trying to win the Master of Mayem, he discovers not just a boyfriend, but a new partner in crime. There are a lot of super sweet moments between these two in the most over-the-top frat ways possible. And the ending… *chef’s kiss* 🕮 Frat Wars: Master of Mayhem by @saxonjameswrites 📚 Add to your TBR ➟ https://bit.ly/3RWVCRB Synopsis: Bro big or bro home. Robbie As social c...

REVIEW: Tide to You by JJ Harper

Image
Review: You may think this is simply a sweet, lovely daddy/boy story where they meet, fall in love and live happily ever after. You would be right. But also wrong. Hudson arrives in France at a beautiful hotel for a weeks holiday, but doesn’t expect Yannick. The young co-owner of the hotel is everything he could want in a partner and boy. He knows he shouldn’t when they live in different countries, but they are compelled together. If only their sole problem was figuring out how to be together. Cue in crappy family that are definitely not deserving of Yannick. If you like loving and sexy stories with intriguing and unexpected storylines, you can’t go wrong. REVIEW: Spanish Siesta by CF White

Image
Review: My first CF White novel was an interesting read. Quite angsty, and a long, slow, and tense build-up to their relationship. They've been best friends forever and Kieran has been pinning for Matt since the beginning. When they end up sharing a bed in Spain where Matt’s sister is getting married, Matt starts to question his feelings for Kieran and why he’s always jealous of the men that show interest in him. Struggling to communicate how they feel, things go off the rail. Kieran struggles with his years of pinning. Matt has never considered himself anything but straight, he’s also a people pleaser, stuck at a week-long event feeling torn between keeping all members of his family, and his best friend happy. It’s a powder keg of emotion. Their ending is sweet and lovely though. 🕮 Spanish Siesta by @c.f.whiteauthor 📚 Add to your TBR ➟ https://bit.ly/3BihnW3 Synopsis: Can a Spanish siesta make Matt see his best friend the way Kieran's been hoping he would for years? REVIEW: Vampires Make Bad Roommates by Mia Monroe (Covens of Eaton Falls #3)

Image
Review: How lovely in Laramie, this poetic, history-loving vampire with a heart of gold and the patience of a saint. Just his luck he is smitten with a prickly witch with walls so high and thick that even magic couldn’t tear them down. There is something extra special about someone falling in love despite their attempts to not do so. But you can’t fight fate. And Riley must learn to accept fate in all matters, not just those of the heart. The overall story heats up in this book with lots of expected twists and turns. It’s definitely the most action-packed of the books. I couldn’t put it down, and I’m not sure how patient I will be waiting for the next one. One of the things I love about this series is that though each book is about one couple, you still get to see a lot of the others so you never feel like you’ve lost them, especially if you eat the brownies!! 🕮 Vampires Make Bad Roommates by @miapensromance 🔖 Add to your TBR ➟ https://bit.ly/3Oz9xKO Synopsis: I'm a medium so s...

REVIEW: Frat Wars: King of Thieves by Saxon James

Image
Review: Dude, this was soooo good. I flip-flop about whether or not I like University aged characters. Sometimes their immaturity grates me, but this….this was perfect! Sure, they were young and stupid, but in the most endearing possible way. Both Chad and Bailey were amazing, but Chad is absolutely the bestest character. Most times he’s completely ridiculous and over the top, but he’s also solid and caring, and absolutely loyal to those he loves. He reminds me of Marmaduke (from the Cartoon strip), he just barrels in, with so much energy and joy, that you just can’t help but love him. I also love how free he was with sharing his emotions. "'It's not too late to run, you know.' 'Of course it is.' 'Why?' 'Because now I've met you. I couldn't run if I tried.'" Bailey was also great, more reserved and quiet, but he has to be, as the next in line to a banking fortune, you learn to keep to yourself and question why others want to know...

Review: The Witch's Power Play by Mia Monroe (Covens of Eaton Falls #2)

Image
Review: I’m really loving this storyline and series. Still a little shocked, I’m so not a paranormal lover, but these guys are really cute and lovely. And I’m completely committed to finding out how this war will end. I loved Beto and Presley. They were funny and quirky, and I adored the dynamic between them. Not just with the vamp being subby, but also with Presley coming into his own, and quite frankly, being a handful for Beto. I also really loved the found family theme. I loved seeing it not just with Beto and Presley, but also along with Leo and Augustus. The four of them together were pretty endearing. 🕮 The Witch’s Power Play by @miapensromance 📚 Add to your TBR ➟ https://bit.ly/3onQ98Q Synopsis: How to tame a vampire isn’t in any of my spell books. REVIEW: Forbidden Mafia Prince by Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank

Image
Review: Welcome to the Mafia duology by Brooke and Ella. It’s definitely not their normal steamy lover's story, this really is an enemies-to-lovers theme, though book one is probably best described as pure Enemies. And with one doozy of a cliffhanger, we’ll have to wait to see if they manage to make it to the lovers side. Dom Rossetti has lived his life knowing two things. One day he’ll head the Mafia family, and the Fiore family must fall - at any cost. Luca Davis has no idea who the Rossetti or Fiore families are. Until he finds himself captive at the hands of one terrifying Dom. But there’s one thing we all know, plans never to go the way you want when it comes to matters of the heart and you are forced together. If you love revenge, blood, and hate-sex you’ve come to the right place. It isn’t as dark as I expected, but it’s fast-paced, and the end will make sure you come back for more. 🕮 Forbidden Prince Mafia by @brookeblaine1 & @ellafrank1 📚 Add to your TBR ➟ https://b...

REVIEW: Unbreak Him by Sam E. Kraemer

Image
Review: A fascinating premise about a man who was left to believe that BDSM was what he needed. But thanks to another man who’s looking to leave his own demons behind, and who learns his secrets, makes it his mission to help the man break free from his abusive past. Along with the help of those within the community Kyle puts his heart into helping Grant see his own beauty and self-worth, unbreaking him from his past and hurt. Along the way, they both get a second chance to flourish in life and find something incredible, love. Deep, healing love. These two are really lovely, and watching Grant come into his own was especially wonderful. I appreciate that this shows how BDSM can be misused and in fact, isn’t for everyone, while still capturing how beautiful and right it can be for others. 🕮 Unbreak Him by @same.kraemer 📚 Add to your TBR ➟ https://bit.ly/3uVm6c9 Synopsis: Is there any way to unbreak someone?   Cover Reveal & Giveaway: The Glow Up By A.M. Johnson Coming September 22nd Franklin University Series, Book 5 Chris Delaney I promised myself that this was going to be the year to finally buckle down. I'm a junior, and I’ve settled on a major. I've got focus and determination. The one thing I haven't figured out yet? How to deal with the massive crush I've been harboring on the guy in study carrel six. I don’t know his name and some of my friends think it’s time for me to move on, but he has this whole sexy, broody, dark eyes, and messy hair thing going for him. And yeah, he seems like he could be my polar opposite. The kind of unapproachable, serious type who doesn’t smile much, but I’d like to think he’s all rays of sunshine underneath his stormy expressions and disheveled demeanor. All that intense energy… I dig it. I want to know him. The rub? I’ll have to find the courage to actually introduce myself. Aiden Russo The college experience is suppose...

REVIEW: Something About Us by Riley Hart

Image
Review: Sean Crisden couldn’t have done a better job with his narration of Lucky and Saint. It was so good. He captured the characters and the emotion beautifully. This duology was fantastic. I loved both Lucky and Saint, and the conclusion to their story was both difficult and beautiful. It takes place after they’ve moved in together, but now they have to figure out how they fit together in the real world. Lucky has left his home and family to be with Saint in LA. A world Lucky isn’t sure he fits into. Saint is happy to be home, at work, and with his friends. They try to fit their relationship into it, but it places an unexpected strain on them. They both try for the other but at times they also don’t try enough, and other times try too much. Until they realize they don’t need to fit in with or fix the other. It’s themselves that they need to fix, love, and fit in with. The process is fraught with so many emotions, but in the end, they find their steady, and they learn to love ...

REVIEW: Got Me Thinking by Casey Cox

Image
Review: This was the swooniest, most romantic book of the whole series. I absolutely loved it. Two men who are searching for something, and though they may think they know what it is they want, they soon discover what they need. It was deep and rich. It alternated beautifully between fun and flirty, introspective and thoughtful, and silly and easy. Chase was a wild card, I didn’t really get a sense of him in previous books, but damn, he’s my favourite. Such a lovely kind-hearted guy who’s been struggling with big things on his own. But when he starts to own his truth and let people in…gah, so lovely. I really enjoyed how much these two enjoyed the simple moments, the real moments of just being together, nothing grand or wild required. REVIEW: Sawyer by JJ Harper

Review: I really love the sexy staff of Bar 28. They are charming, loyal, and hot. I knew the moment I started reading Sawyer I wasn’t going to want to put it down. It had me hooked with its flirtatious tone, quick pace, and yes, some juicy drama. I had forgotten this one had a daddy/boy dynamic, and I was definitely not mad about that. I love Daddy kink, especially when the boy is unconventional (ie. not a twink). I loved the flirty way these two connected and made the connection of their like desires. Together they were fun, sweet, and absolutely hot. Like any relationship, there are hiccups and mistakes but they put love first to find a way through it. About Two Tribes It’s 1995, and troubled seventeen-year-old Matt Leeson harbours three passions: indie music, wartime history, and the posh boy he sits next to in maths class. Not in that order. One of those passions is closely guarded, along with a few other secrets Matt tucks away. Such as his abusive father, the cramped run-down flat he calls home, and the futility of his dreams to escape both. Twenty-five years later, and plodding Dr Alex Valentine, recently divorced, is looking back on a life less lived. On his failed marriage and the dull bore he’s become, on the empty, lonely weekends stretching ahead. And, in a corner of his mind, wondering what could have been, if only a slender, raven-haired young man hadn’t so abruptly vanished all those years ago. First love. Teenage love. REVIEW: The Professor's Date by Lane Hayes

Image
Review: It’s a common refrain when a new book in a series comes out to say ‘this one is my favourite’, but it can’t be helped in this case. Looking back I realize now I liked the other characters but Tommy blows them all away. This book is so flirty and fun. It does have deep moments and some serious topics, but overall these two banter and flirt and are awkwardly sweet. I love how they are both assertive and outgoing in their own rights, and yet, also shy and nervous in other ways. Talk about complimentary. Often one character is the ‘broken’ one, and the other helps them love again, but in this case, they both bring out the best in each other and give strength to heal their past hurts. I also loved that though neither is really into the other’s passions, Tommy is a science nerd and Noah is Soccer playing hairstylist, they both want nothing more than to hear all about them. They are 100% invested in the other and what makes them happy. It’s utterly charming. 🕮 The Professor’s Date...
