  MAD SCRAMBLE The Philadelphia Frenzy - Book One by Susan Scott Shelley Release Date: September 4, 2018 Review Everson and Ryan are a really cute couple, and their story is full of adorableness, a little angst and some tender moments. I loved watching the big bad football player, whose entire life is focused on the game, fall in love and find his world turned upside down. Ryan is lovely, and I enjoyed how close his family was, though I could always do with the ‘if you hurt him…’ It’s a pet peeve of mine.  But other than that, they are a lot of fun. And in the end, a beautiful family with so much love and care. Laurence and Alex have amazing chemistry, and Laurence showed up again and again in the most kind and compassionate way.  No matter what else was going on in his life, he showed up for Alex, proving his love is more than their circumstances. Knox and Dean, these sweet boys who had such a tragic start and forced to make a heartbreaking decision to part as teenagers.  Knox may have been hurt and confused, but Dean, having to make the decision…gah! This was an interestingly structured story. It’s MMMM but written from the perspective of three. Dean’s life is complicated, and he comes back into Knox’s life, just as Knox has committed to Roman.  Dean’s still bitter and standoffish, but there’s also curiosity and desire. And slowly, with apologies, and understanding, and Knox finding someone of his own, they all manage to find their way together in a pretty lovely (and smexy) polycule.   ENCHANTED Hopeless Blessed - Book Four by Lark Taylor Release Date: September 25, 2026 Review I may have mentioned before that I’m obsessed with Lark’s shared world of Angels and Demons.  They are all so complex and perfect, and their stories are fascinating. Rami and Ethan are an emotional pairing.  Rami and his pining for his fated mate that he can’t find, and Ethan spending hours going through the worst thing imaginable while his boyfriend gives the bare minimum. Rami is a bit of a martyr, and it hurt to see him torture himself, feeling like he can’t tell Ethan the truth. And then there’s another sinister force causing chaos and mayhem. But the drama brings Matthew into his life, so it can’t be all bad.  And Matthew is really good for him.  He likes and appreciates Troye, and only wants to bring out the best for him.   ROOKIE MOVES The Rookie Diaries - Book One by Jodi Oliver Release Date: September 24, 2026 Review Really enjoyed Colby and Tyler. They are both green flags and fit beautifully together. Their relationship is relatively low angst, but there is some angst in their external life. I love how they helped each other deal with the things that were troubling them, and achieve happiness on their own terms.   Their initial coming together was amusing, but Tyler is a fantastic teacher, so Colby definitely chose right. Looking forward to seeing where these two end up in book 2.
