  THE MEANING OF YOU Fisher & Church - Book One by Jay Hogan Release Date: April 24, 2025 Review Wow! Just wow! In some ways, this feels like two books, complementary; they flow well together.  The first half is emotional AF.  That’s not an understatement, it nearly wrecked me. Nick and Madigan meet at the worst of times. And I do mean the worst of times.  Nick is a grumpy bugger at this best, throw in some heartbreaking grief, and he’s a tough nut to crack. Madigan seems to be the one person who can reach him while also not giving in to his tantrums. I love that about him. This story is about strength, loss, and futures. And both these men are 50ish, and I love that about the story. They’ve lived, learned, and know what it is to know your own mind. As they get to know each other, mystery and suspense surround them.   COCKY BASTARD by Charlie Novak Release Date: April 24, 2025 Review Goodness me, Austin is absolutely everything I could want him to be. He may have a smirk that can knock the wind out of you, but he’s a hidden romantic too, even if he didn’t know it! We, of course, have seen Austin and Jude/Kanan in other stories, and I loved them, but I was definitely curious to see how they get together, and it was everything. They are both incredible. They have sooooo much sexual tension, and such a unique back story - having met as young stars, they traversed an interesting life in each other's orbit. But they are older and wiser now and still as infatuated.   FALSE START Big Bend Bears - Book Three by Nicole Dykes Release Date: April 20, 2025 Review Oh my gosh, Vaughn is absolutely adorable, such a golden retriever with a heart of best intentions and love.  And I do love a straight bestie who doesn’t realize his own feelings.   This is a really sweet coming of age story between two best friends in a small town that is not the most inclusive. Vaughn is outgoing and likeable, and he loves his small town, but he’s even more excited to go to college with his BFF. So my heart breaks with his when Austin tells him he’s going to a different school.   Don’t get me wrong, I get it, I get why Austin needs to do it, and he breaks his own heart in the process. And it was the right decision in the end, but still, there were a few tears. Luckily, distance does make the heart grow stronger, and they have a really sweet build to their relationship.
