Review

This is one of the books you have to force yourself to put down and go to bed.

All the stories in this series cover similar timelines, so it’s super interesting to witness major events from different perspectives while everything transpires.  And A LOT transpires.

Meanwhile there is something entirely endearing about Aelith, the arrogant, sweet, royal who doesn’t really know who he is.  Raised by his parents, but not entirely like them.

Then there’s Dawson, the hilarious man who never really stops talking, even when absolutely not helpful! And he is funny. Which is thanks to Becca’s stellar writing, because under someone else I would likely hate him.

Despite it all, he grounds Aelith, and gives him strength.

Seriously, a great story & series.

Synopsis

Accidentally bonding with an alien prince who growls at anyone who gets too close to me? Not on my Terrafeara survival bingo card.

I was supposed to be snowboarding in Portugal. Instead, I got dragged through a dimensional rift, dropped into a monster-filled world, and nearly died before I even figured out which plants were trying to eat me.

Then I met Aelith.

Prince. Warrior. Walking political disaster.

He’s also six-foot-something of glowing-eyed devotion who apparently decided I’m his person after sharing enough life force to keep me breathing. Now he watches me like I hang the stars, growls at anyone who upsets me, and makes my pulse do deeply embarrassing things whenever he’s nearby.

The problem?

His mother is the Queen.

The rebellion wants her overthrown.

And the entire realm is one bad day away from falling apart.

As the bond between us grows stronger, secrets about the rifts begin to surface—secrets that could change everything we thought we knew about Terrafeara and the worlds beyond it.

Because if we fail, we won’t just lose each other.

We might lose every world connected to the rifts.

Aelith is the fourth book in the Monsters & Mates series, a monster-filled MM romantic fantasy featuring fated mates, hurt/comfort, found family, political intrigue, portal fantasy adventures, possessive devotion, and a love powerful enough to change worlds.
