REVIEW: Craving Sin by Riley Hart (Sinful Things #1)

CRAVING SIN

Sinful Things - Book One

by Riley Hart

Release Date: August 27, 2026

Review

I love a redemption story.

Rian lost himself when his wife died. He and his son barely know each other, and he’s definitely not interested in finding love again.

Until Abbott, the Dr he may or may not have to kill. But what better way to find love again than kidnapping someone!

Abbott deserves some intense love; Lord knows his father doesn’t give him any,  and you can totally see why Rian’s fierce attention would cause someone to break their moral code. And honestly, I couldn’t be happier for him.

And though Rian is the villain in his own story, you really just want to wrap him up in a hug.

I cannot, repeat, cannot wait for Conan’s story!

Synopsis

Rian

As head of the O’Shea family, I don’t make mistakes.

I certainly don’t become obsessed with a guy. Stalk him. And then proceed to kidnap him to a secluded cabin when an attempt on my life is made.

But that’s exactly what I did.

While my family hunts down the men who tried to kill me, Doctor Preston Abbott is trapped with me, and I expect him to nurse me back to health before paying the ultimate sacrifice. Abbott…who is also the governor’s son.

Each day my interest in him grows. He cares for me, shares parts of his life with me, willingly gives his body to me and begs for more…even though he knows he’ll die by my hand.

I never thought I would want someone again this way, that I would crave another person the way I do Abbott. He’s too good for the violence of my world, and all the sinful things I revel in. I’m a monster but he’s mine until the end.

Mine to crave…mine to touch…mine to kill…

Craving Sin contains MCs dealing with grief, violence, darker themes, and morally gray characters with no redemption arc. This is still a Riley Hart romance, so you can expect a happily ever after for our guys. Please see the note at the beginning of the book for a more detailed content warning.

About Riley Hart

Riley Hart has always been known as the girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. She won her first writing contest in elementary school, and although she primarily focuses on male/male romance, under her various pen names, she’s written a little bit of everything. Regardless of the sub-genre, there’s always one common theme and that’s…romance! No surprise seeing as she’s a hopeless romantic herself. Riley’s a lover of character-driven plots, flawed characters, and always tries to write stories and characters people can relate to. She believes everyone deserves to see themselves in the books they read. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her reading or enjoying time with her awesome family in their home in North Carolina.
