Review
I enjoyed the writing style and the world-building. The characters, including the side characters, felt well-developed.
Rain and Mason each have issues that leave them feeling slightly damaged. When Mason takes Rain into his house in exchange for some modelling, these two become intertwined and slightly co-dependent.
I will provide my unpopular opinion…Rain is actually more problematic than Mason. Mason is billed as the problem, but Rain, while holding Mason’s feet to the fire for his f-ups, never really owned up or made amends for his. Which were significant.
But once they found a way through their personal issues, they made a really wonderful couple.

Synopsis
How can you fall in love when you don’t believe in it?
Rain Bardot doesn’t date. He doesn’t do relationships. They never work out so why waste time? The best part is what happens in the bedroom. Besides, even if love is real he wouldn’t have room for it. He’s too busy trying to evade his unstable mother and her greasy boyfriend, but too broke to move out despite his serving job at The Pointe.
Mason Hart can’t escape his bullies. Years of trauma at the hands of family and classmates has left him with a strong dislike for people, which holds him back as a photographer and a human being. However, after a chance meeting, Rain’s stormy beauty captivates and inspires Mason, and when he’s given a spot in a dream exhibition he asks Rain to be his subject, offering him the sanctuary he needs.
With each steamy modeling session they grow closer, intrigued and confused by unexpected feelings, but when disaster strikes and trust hangs in the balance can they find their way to love or will their bond dissolve under the weight of their pasts?
Obsessed is the 90K third book in The Pointe of Love series. It has an age-gap, photographer/muse romance with hurt/comfort, sneaky pictures, grumpy/horny, found family, photography lessons, the cutest kitten ever, enough heat to power a sauna, and an HEA with no cliffhangers.
All books in The Pointe of Love series can be read as standalones, as they each follow a different couple, but they’re much more fun when read together.
There are topics in this book that may be difficult for some people. Please check the forward for content warnings.
About Sonia Blue
Sonia Blue has been writing stories of all kinds since the pre-internet beforetimes, where they sat in the back corner of every high school class filling five-subject notebooks with their bad penmanship.
When they're not typing away at their desk, they can be found hiking, gaming, baking, petting cats, watching reality TV survival shows, or plowing through anime with less than zero chill.
They are an angst enjoyer, and love hurt/comfort with healing because it makes the HEAs super-sweet.
