Review

Pax and Wraith were a really entertaining pair. I loved the professional hockey player meets hired hitman storyline.

So unique.

Wraith is stalking his mark, who apparently attends hockey when it’s in town. But he’s distracted by a certain hockey player. Paxon isn’t out, but he’s willing to take some risks with the sexy man with the unusual name.

As walls tumble, the truth wins out, including that perhaps he should be helping his mark, not killing him.

As wild as the story seems, it works, and the characters are all intriguing, complex men. They may find love with someone unexpected, but that love is perfect.

Synopsis

To keep him I’ll have to break the one rule I never thought I would.

Paxon

As a hockey defenseman it’s my job to protect the net and I don’t do it quietly. I like to throw a punch or two just to keep the fans excited. I put everything into my job, after all, hockey is the only thing keeping me together.

There’s only one person who knows the me behind the hockey mask, and that’s my brother Boone. He breaks my heart on a daily basis, but I promised our mom I’d look out for him. Which is hard enough with my schedule and his…choices.

When someone starts closing in on him, I have to risk everything to protect him. Unfortunately for me, the guy trailing my brother is the hottest man alive and the attraction between us is undeniable. Irresistible.

Is there a way to keep my brother safe and the dangerous man after him in my bed?

Wraith

Paxon Bouchard is a problem. He’s the extremely sexy, bossy, loudmouth obstacle between me and the job I’m supposed to get done. Finding out my latest assignment is his brother is unfortunate, but nothing gets between me and a job well done. Not even a beefy hockey player.

When new information surfaces, I have a difficult decision to make. Breaking the rules isn’t something I do, ever, and I’m not keen on it, but Pax offers me something I never saw for myself - a future. Maybe even love.

To keep Pax, I’ll have to trust him and hope I made the right decision. If I’m wrong, I could lose everything.

About Mia Monroe

Mia has long been an avid romance reader and writer. As someone who identifies as part of the LGBTQ community, Mia feels a special connection to these sometimes complicated stories. Once she read her first MM romance, she was hooked, and now wants to bring those stories to you. She’s a hopeless romantic so she guarantees a happy ever after in all her stories, but she does not guarantee they will be without complications.

Mia describes her writing style as angsty, emotional, and kinky and just lets her imagination take her where it wants to go. No filters, no restraint, no apologies. She hopes you enjoy the ride and come back for more.

People will tell you Mia is funny in the most sarcastic of ways, fluent in inappropriate memes, loosely moral’d, a lover of words, and fueled by coffee and tacos- but not at the same time. She has some standards.

Love freely.
