Review

I enjoyed this Pride-themed prequel to Zane and Devin’s story and this multi-author small town setting.

We get to know a little about these men and how they ended up where they are, while developing a little tension to give us a sense of what’s to come.

I’m definitely intrigued by them both, and want to meet more of the townsfolk. I love a good small town.

Synopsis

Zane
My brother has always been my number one concern and I’m proud to support him as he helps organise the town’s first Pride event even though I should be looking for someone to help us on the farm. The day goes well except for the dark haired stranger I keep seeing.

Devin
Foggy Basin was the first town I chose on the map. I’m looking for some temporary work and didn’t know there was a Pride event. No problem, I can look for work after the weekend. If I can just shake off the funny looks I get from one of the locals.

NOTE: This is a prequel for Bales and Brawn, a Foggy Basin season 3 story. There is no HEA, no HFN. In fact the main characters don’t even physically meet. But it’s cute and it’s fun and you should read it anyway.

Pride has finally come to the small town of Foggy Basin! Known mostly for family farms and the eccentric people that live there, the townsfolk are all excited to share in the celebration and curious about the drag show at the park.

Come celebrate the first Pride Day in Foggy Basin. You’ll get to catch up with some old friends and meet some new ones where you’ll always be welcome and you won’t want to leave.
