Damn, I knew Jonah’s story was going to be high emotion. With all he went through as a child, experiencing the world with a disability, and fighting to be respected as a top-tier athlete, he’s got a lot on his shoulders and very thin patience for egotistical, rude men.

And boy does Alexio stick his foot in his mouth on the regular, and has a knack for making enemies. But he’s not all bad, and Jonah is perfect for him, because he’s always willing to call him out for the stupid things he says.

And over time, as the walls break down, gah, they are fiery and wonderful.

The effort, trials and tribulations were worth their love story.

Problem number one: My personal life is falling apart.

It’s a high heat, enemies to lovers rom-com with a snarky NHL D-man who has a lot of big opinions and doesn’t care if they’re unsolicited, a PPHL goalie with a mountain of problems and no way to reach the top, locker room hookups, praise, swoony romance, a low-stakes bi-awakening, hockey bro banter, tons of chirping, and the swooniest happily ever after.
