REVIEW: For Frat's Sake by Riley Hart & Devon McCormack (Peach State Fratbros #3)

FOR FRAT’S SAKE

Peach State Fratbros - Book Three

by Riley Hart & Devon McCormack

Release Date: April 30, 2026

Review

I love the ‘golden-retriever people pleaser’ vs ‘misunderstood, grumpy, closed off recluse’ vibes.

Miles was cast as the villain previously, and that shadow is long. But Dax isn’t most people, and he’s eager to look behind Miles’ walls to get to know the real person.

It’s definitely not smooth sailing to hooking up, let alone love, but it’s fun and warm, and oh so satisfying.

Synopsis

DAX

Miles Tanner hates me for no reason.

Me—lovable, easygoing, sexy-as-hell Dax Armstrong, always there when a fellow fratbro needs a hand...or if that fratbro would like to enjoy more than just my hand...

Miles is the broody artist-type who just got off probation for starting the fire at Sigma Alpha.

Basically, a walking red flag.

But for a guy who's always looking to start a fight with me, I can't wrap my mind around a night when I was a little too tipsy and he helped me back to Alpha Theta Mu.

Since then, he's hot and cold. One minute he's telling me to stay away from him. The next, he moves in for a touch.

Or a kiss.

In these unguarded moments, all those problematic, confusing red flags fade to the background.

Maybe he's right and I shouldn't mess with him, but for frat's sake...where's the fun in that?

Tropes:

  • Enemies-to-Lovers

  • Grumpy/Sunshine

  • Opposites Attract

  • Protective MC

  • Plenty of Spice

CW: Discussions about losing parents (one to suicide and another to a car accident) and depictions of parental neglect.

* This book can be read and enjoyed as a standalone.

About Riley Hart

Riley Hart has always been known as the girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. She won her first writing contest in elementary school, and although she primarily focuses on male/male romance, under her various pen names, she’s written a little bit of everything. Regardless of the sub-genre, there’s always one common theme and that’s…romance! No surprise seeing as she’s a hopeless romantic herself. Riley’s a lover of character-driven plots, flawed characters, and always tries to write stories and characters people can relate to. She believes everyone deserves to see themselves in the books they read. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her reading or enjoying time with her awesome family in their home in North Carolina.

About Devon McCormack

Devon McCormack grew up in the Georgia suburbs with his two younger brothers and an older sister. At a very young age, he spun tales the old fashioned way, lying to anyone and everyone he encountered. He claimed he was an orphan. He claimed to be a king from another planet. He claimed to have supernatural powers. He has since harnessed this penchant for tall tales by crafting worlds and characters that allow him to live out whatever fantasy he chooses. Devon is an out and proud queer man living in Atlanta, Georgia.

Devon's body of work ranges from erotica to young adult, so readers should check the synopses of his books before purchasing so that they know what they're getting into.
