Loved loved loved this!

Lukas and Sawyer are just fantabulous. Both are warm, kind, and caring.

Brought together to write Lukas’ memoir, they find themselves at ease with one another, despite their different upbringings and careers, they find themselves chatting and hanging out even when not necessary for the job.

Along the way, something beautiful and soft builds between them. Even when a jealous assistant tries cause some chaos!

I think if asked which EM Denning book one should absolutely read, this would be on the list!

Synopsis

Lukas Knight has built his empire up from nothing. A bad home life and a grim future saw to it that his options after high school were limited. Enter a man with a pocketful of promises for a better life. Glitz. Glamor. Family. And every one of those promises was a lie.

The longer Sawyer and Lukas work together, the closer they become. Through quiet conversations, they share past hurts and hopes for the future. And if Sawyer happens to want to kiss Lukas, well… he’d be okay with that. And if Lukas were to kiss him back, that would be okay too.

The series contains the same low angst, sweet spice that you’re used to from E.M. Denning, plus a lazy dog named Lara, an assistant with a crush, and addictive side characters who eventually get their own happy endings.

I was born in the '80's in small town Canada, and I still live there. I have three kids, a husband, and a cat who is in his twilight years. I love writing and I especially love writing gay romance. I had a friend in my teens who was deeply closeted and I often think of that friend, and how different his youth would have been if there had been the books and acceptance that are out there now. The world isn't perfect, not yet, but I hope to make it brighter.
