Review

I’m completely taken by this series of shifters & witches finding love at Christmas.


A phoenix can die, but is reborn, and I love the idea of a kind of fresh start. An opportunity to start fresh while also benefiting from a lifetime of experiences.


Of course, that isn’t exactly what happens for Percival. The obnoxious Lord is reborn after being attacked, but he’s lost his memories. And like Leo, I think that may be a good thing. Because he gets a complete restart. One with Leo, who is sweet and kind and patient.


But there’s still the question of who attached Percy in the first place. And boy does that case take a turn!


But this cozy romance gets an even cozier happy ending, and I’m completely smitten.

Synopsis

Percival dies hating Leo. He is reborn wanting only him.


Leo despises Lord Percival Everflame the moment the phoenix walks into his bakery. Well … almost the moment. At first, the hearth witch baker is too busy staring at the stunning phoenix. Then Percival speaks and reveals what an arrogant prick he is.


The hatred is completely mutual. As far as Percival is concerned, Leo might be an attractive witch, but his rudeness and disrespect for his betters makes him utterly intolerable. Still, Percival keeps returning to the bakery. For the pies, of course.


Then Percival is attacked. He dies, is reborn … and forgets everything.


Leo finds him in an alley. Naked and confused, this new Percival has no memory of Leo or their previous animosity. He just knows he trusts Leo and needs to stay close to the witch. Unable to turn Percival away, Leo brings him home and is shocked at how sweet the reborn phoenix is.


While sparks fly between them, questions lurk in the shadows. What or who killed Percival? And will it turn Percival and Leo’s budding relationship to ash?



A Phoenix Reborn at Christmas is an MM cosy fantasy romance with plenty of spice. It features Christmas vibes, a family of hearth witch bakers, memory loss, riding on a phoenix, a raven familiar, and a guaranteed HEA.


Whilst this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.

Quiet, a little grumpy, a little withdrawn, and maybe a little lost and lonely. Then there’s Cash - outgoing, sexual, and completely obsessed with Declan.  It’s a slow burn. One that requires both of them to shift their understanding of each other, and time to truly learn and understand both themselves and the other. I love both the trajectory of the relationship as well as the life and home they build.  It’s a truly wonderful pairing that may be my favourite in the series. Sure I see a bit of myself in Declan, but I also just adore the way Cash grew and how they balanced each other. Fenton Release Date: August 5, 2025 Review I wish there were more mystery romances out there.  I love the mystery-solving, both the entertainment value of the cases, but also as a plot point to a developing relationship. And Declan and Charlie are a dynamic duo. They have great banter, but are also caring people. Book three, and Declan and Charlie are still finding their way as boyfriends and colleagues, but it’s clear they could be amazing. And now Charlie is learning to become a detective, too. They each take on a case, but before long, they find their cases connecting. Which is perfect, because they do their best work together.
