Review

A playful and offbeat story of a man who discovers he’s a wizard when his sneeze sets off a series of quirky mishaps.  Which is kinda awkward when you're simultaneously trying to date a really attractive influencer (whose BFF is a mean girl).


To add to the chaos, Grayson’s mentor is constantly drunk, Milo’s mom is acting a little weird, people are going missing, and he’s still trying to figure out how to control his abilities.


But somewhere along the way, they find love, family and second chances.

Synopsis

Grayson sneezed. This in itself is not unusual but it's what happened next which freaked him out. A small pink elephant appeared.


Enter Penelope, a glamorous cottage witch with a drinking problem. She's been sent to help Grayson master his new wizard powers. And she's here to fix his sneezy magical mishaps.


Grayson has also fallen in love. His new boyfriend, Milo, is the best friend of bitchy social influencer, Summer. She doesn't approve of their relationship and has video proof of one of Grayson's mystical screw ups.


With the threat of being exposed, Grayson soon learns he'll need more than magic to keep him out of trouble.

About Kevin Klehr

Kevin lives with his husband, Warren, in their humble apartment (affectionately named Sabrina), in Australia’s own ‘Emerald City,’ Sydney.

His tall tales explore unrequited love in the theatre district of the Afterlife, romance between a dreamer and a realist, and a dystopian city addicted to social media.

His first novel, Drama Queens with Love Scenes, spawned a secondary character named Guy. Many readers argue that Guy, the insecure gay angel, is the star of the Actors and Angels book series. His popularity surprised the author. The third in this series, Drama Queens and Devilish Schemes, scored a Rainbow Award (judged by fans of queer fiction) for Best Gay Alternative Universe/Reality novel.

His novel, The Midnight Man, scored first place in the LGBT category of the Paranormal Romance Guild's Reviewer's Choice Awards, as well as winning the Fantasy category of the 2021 Gay Scribe Awards.

So, with his fictional guardian angel guiding him, Kevin hopes to bring more whimsical tales of love, life and friendship to his readers.

Quiet, a little grumpy, a little withdrawn, and maybe a little lost and lonely. Then there’s Cash - outgoing, sexual, and completely obsessed with Declan.  It’s a slow burn. One that requires both of them to shift their understanding of each other, and time to truly learn and understand both themselves and the other. I love both the trajectory of the relationship as well as the life and home they build.  It’s a truly wonderful pairing that may be my favourite in the series. Sure I see a bit of myself in Declan, but I also just adore the way Cash grew and how they balanced each other. Fenton Release Date: August 5, 2025 Review I wish there were more mystery romances out there.  I love the mystery-solving, both the entertainment value of the cases, but also as a plot point to a developing relationship. And Declan and Charlie are a dynamic duo. They have great banter, but are also caring people. Book three, and Declan and Charlie are still finding their way as boyfriends and colleagues, but it’s clear they could be amazing. And now Charlie is learning to become a detective, too. They each take on a case, but before long, they find their cases connecting. Which is perfect, because they do their best work together.
