Review

My first book by TJ Nichols, and I really enjoyed it. A fascinating scenario - two worlds become one, and suddenly buildings have grown out of nowhere, others have disappeared, and things they had long believed were myths turn out to be real.


A god is stranded in a world he vaguely understands, without his magic, which takes with it his entire identity. As he tries to make sense of it all, he meets a really kind man who’s a little lost in the world. He’s a people pleaser, but along their journey of trying to navigate and understand what’s going on, maybe he finds his own place and power in this life.


They are a great combination. There’s a lot of push and pull as they try to find their place in it all, but they are also drawn to one another, and make an excellent team in the process.


It’s exciting to think about suddenly waking up to find that dragons and vampires are real!

  RESTING BEACH FACE Swallow Cove - Book Four by DJ Jamison Release Date: February 20, 2025 Review Declan is so beautiful. Quiet, a little grumpy, a little withdrawn, and maybe a little lost and lonely. Then there’s Cash - outgoing, sexual, and completely obsessed with Declan.  It’s a slow burn. One that requires both of them to shift their understanding of each other, and time to truly learn and understand both themselves and the other. I love both the trajectory of the relationship as well as the life and home they build.  It’s a truly wonderful pairing that may be my favourite in the series. Sure I see a bit of myself in Declan, but I also just adore the way Cash grew and how they balanced each other. Fenton Release Date: August 5, 2025 Review I wish there were more mystery romances out there.  I love the mystery-solving, both the entertainment value of the cases, but also as a plot point to a developing relationship. And Declan and Charlie are a dynamic duo. They have great banter, but are also caring people. Book three, and Declan and Charlie are still finding their way as boyfriends and colleagues, but it’s clear they could be amazing. And now Charlie is learning to become a detective, too. They each take on a case, but before long, they find their cases connecting. Which is perfect, because they do their best work together.
