Review

Brendon is the newest server at Truffle in Portland and he’s got secrets. Secrets to explain why he doesn’t talk about himself or why he changes his phone number often. He’s definitely not looking for a relationship.


But then he meets Matthew at a cottage weekend with friends and colleagues.


Here they reveal their tender hearts and pain and begin something that neither can deny. Their time is spent peeling back layers and truly seeing the other.


Their friends provide a little drama and levity to keep things entertaining.


Overall it’s a sweet story but it’s also got a bit of darkness and hurt/comfort to give it depth and draw you in.


Micah has unique writing style that I’m very much enjoying.

Synopsis

When ghosts of the past threaten to blow up the harmony of a friendly getaway, Matthew can’t resist stepping in to help Brendon cut ties once and for all.
