Review

Sweet, introverted Beckett with the respect of the community is a wonder. He can come across as grumpy but he’s battling crappy family and a limited social battery, so it’s no surprise he wants to keep to himself in the beautiful nest of a home that he’s created. 


Will is everything that Beckett needs, and vice versa.  It doesn’t mean that they fall wildly in love the moment they set eyes on each other though!  They have to work for. Will has to climb some steep walls to get to Beckett, but it’s totally worth it to see them both flourish.


And Beckett’s parents can rot in the hell of their own making!

This is Book One of the Almstead Newcomer's Club. The series is interconnecting, but each story can be read as a standalone. This novel involves a Daddy/boy dynamic, but no age play. Please know that there are instances of emotional abuse in this story. You can find more information in the forward matter. There is a HEA for this couple and no cliffhanger, but some character redemptions will take longer than others.

Quiet, a little grumpy, a little withdrawn, and maybe a little lost and lonely. Then there’s Cash - outgoing, sexual, and completely obsessed with Declan.  It’s a slow burn. One that requires both of them to shift their understanding of each other, and time to truly learn and understand both themselves and the other. I love both the trajectory of the relationship as well as the life and home they build.  It’s a truly wonderful pairing that may be my favourite in the series. Sure I see a bit of myself in Declan, but I also just adore the way Cash grew and how they balanced each other. Fenton Release Date: August 5, 2025 Review I wish there were more mystery romances out there.  I love the mystery-solving, both the entertainment value of the cases, but also as a plot point to a developing relationship. And Declan and Charlie are a dynamic duo. They have great banter, but are also caring people. Book three, and Declan and Charlie are still finding their way as boyfriends and colleagues, but it’s clear they could be amazing. And now Charlie is learning to become a detective, too. They each take on a case, but before long, they find their cases connecting. Which is perfect, because they do their best work together.
