Review

Wes always seemed to be a ‘glass half full’ guy, but it’s justifiable after his mother, then recently his sister died. Leaving him to care for his niece. He’s gorgeous man, who will do anything for that sweet girl, but he forgets to LIVE.

Enter Braden a larger-than-life, carefree guy, who, though he has questionable respect for boundaries, is a purely good soul. And when he sets his sights on you, there is nothing he wouldn’t do to make your life better and brighter. And maybe it started because Wes didn’t immediately want to be his friend, but in truth, there was just something about him that spoke to his soul.

The three of them make life goals. They are utterly adorable together.

The narration by Luke Itzvic only adds to the beauty of this story.

Synopsis

Wes Jensen just lost the sister who raised him, and gained custody of his niece. The last thing he needs to add to his full plate is dealing with Braden Roth, the one-night-stand who continues to try to push his way into Wes’ life. He has a kid to raise now, and Wes isn't great at getting close anyway.

Braden has never had a woman or a man sneak out on him the morning after. From the start, Wes intrigues him, and Braden isn't one to deny himself something he wants. And he wants Wes. The more time he spends with Wes and the little girl who constantly keeps them on their toes, the more Braden realizes this isn't just about getting the guy who walked away.

As their lives intertwine more and more, Wes discovers Braden isn't as shallow as he thought. But after everything Wes lost in his life, he isn't sure he can risk his heart, and truly want Braden to stay—and if he did, would Wes’ quiet life be enough for Braden?

About Riley Hart

Riley Hart has always been known as the girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. She won her first writing contest in elementary school, and although she primarily focuses on male/male romance, under her various pen names, she’s written a little bit of everything. Regardless of the sub-genre, there’s always one common theme and that’s…romance! No surprise seeing as she’s a hopeless romantic herself. Riley’s a lover of character-driven plots, flawed characters, and always tries to write stories and characters people can relate to. She believes everyone deserves to see themselves in the books they read. When she’s not writing, you’ll find her reading or enjoying time with her awesome family in their home in North Carolina.
