Review

Garrett Leigh and narrator Shaun Grindell wowed me with Believe.

There was something so unexpected about it. Their meeting. The trajectory of their relationship. Their jobs.

But man, they were gorgeous together. And the story sucked me in completely. There was something so sweet and sensual about them, and you could tell how special their connection was.

There are some heavy topics throughout with their jobs and current events, but they are handled with care and tenderness especially with Jevon trying to bring a little bit of happiness and fun to the lives of the displaced.

There was also some beautiful character development and growth from both of these amazing men.

As a package, this had me completely obsessed (I may have forgotten to work while I was listening!).

Synopsis

Flight paramedic Rhys Foster is hooked on adrenaline. By day it’s blood and guts, by night it’s the thrill of the club. With a different face in his bed most nights, he doesn’t have time to be lonely…right?

Entertainer Jevon Campbell is a play therapist like no other—dancer, magician, acrobat, he brings it all to his global mission to help children in need laugh again. He’s on a rare home visit when he encounters enigmatic Rhys in a London bar.

About Garrett Leigh

Garrett Leigh is an award-winning British writer, cover artist, and book designer. Her debut novel, Slide, won Best Bisexual Debut at the 2014 Rainbow Book Awards, and her polyamorous novel, Misfits was a finalist in the 2016 LAMBDA awards, and was again a finalist in 2017 with Rented Heart.

In 2017, she won the EPIC award in contemporary romance with her military novel, Between Ghosts, and the contemporary romance category in the Bisexual Book Awards with her novel What Remains.

When not writing, Garrett can generally be found procrastinating on Twitter, cooking up a storm, or sitting on her behind doing as little as possible, all the while shouting at her menagerie of children and animals and attempting to tame her unruly and wonderful FOX.

Garrett is also an award winning cover artist, taking the silver medal at the Benjamin Franklin Book Awards in 2016.
