REVIEW: Pretty Obsessed by JR Gray

Review:

I have to admit, I’m pretty obsessed with this series. Yes, it’s book one, but I read book 2 first, and yes, there are only two, but I don’t care, I know the rest of the series is going to be amazing too. So I can already tell you this is one of my favourite series from any author. It’s gritty and complex. It’s perfect.

This series is exactly what I picture most rock bands from the 70s, 80s, and 90s were like…messy and chaotic.

River was such a great person to start this series with. He’s a mess too, but not in the usual rock star chaos way. He’s a carer and carrying the weight of fame, his difficult childhood and the troubles of his bandmates are drowning him.

Until he meets Emory. Emory is real, despite his own fame, he’s exactly who River needs. Someone he can care for, but also, someone who makes him a priority too.

In true JR fashion, this book starts with an epic first chapter. And it just gets hotter and more consuming from there!
