REVIEW: The Animosity Equation by J.R. Gray

Review: Well, that first chapter definitely ensures you won’t be putting the book down!! Seriously, have a fan close by. “If I stayed a second longer, I would have let him do anything he f***ing wanted, and that was a drug too dangerous to give in to.” This was an explosive enemies-to-lovers story. Wow, did they know how to fight! I loved the build-up, the fighting, the assumptions and misunderstandings that kept them at odds with each other. They were hot. And once they let go, dropped their walls, and actually took the time to know each other, their pasts, their dreams; they became fire outside the sheets too! “I might have made the biggest mistake of my life by asking for more of him, but I’d savor every minute of the road to hell.” It was great to see Harden and Vance again, and I hope we get to see them all again in the next one.  I’m really falling for all the Love Equations guys, but then JR Gray really knows how to create a world you don’t want to crawl out of. REVIEW: The Friendship Equation by JR Gray (Love Equations #1)

Review:      "Do not even look at him," Harden snapped. “This is not a brother’s best friend romance.” I love love love BFF to lover stories. I’m also a big fan of political storylines. And these two did not disappoint. They were really adorable.     "His warmth would never go out. I'd always be a moth to his flame, and I didn't want it any other way." I think my favourite part was the sheer amount of dialogue. Dialogue is my favourite part, it’s what makes me feel connected to them, and it is super enjoyable to read. It really captures their closeness, their familiarity, and the love they have for each other. They were also pretty hot together. Not to mention fun and flirty. I do admit to wanting to shake Vance more than a few times and tell him to spit out his feelings already. Grrr. I especially loved Harden and how he handled the developing relationship and how he fought for himself and his relationship. Shout out to Vance’s dad & MVP to brother ...

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: First Impression by Jay Hogan (Auckland Med #1)

Review: Resounding 5 Stars. Although this is my 2nd read, so does that make it 10 Stars?!? This was one of the first MM romance books that I read, and easily one of the first that I rated 5 stars. When the audiobook went on sale I snatched it up with no real plans on when to listen to it (so many books on my TBR make me reluctant to re-read things), but when I had a really bad migraine for a couple of days in a row, I thought I’d give it a try. I can’t do much of anything with a migraine, and sometimes concentrating can be hard, so I figured something I already knew the story to would be a good idea. The story was as good as I remember it and makes for a really good audiobook. These two characters are among my favourite. They have the perfect amount of banter and snark, heat, and love. And though they start off disliking each other, they are both really kind, compassionate people, which leads to a cease-fire, friendship, and romance. And though the HEA takes some time, it’s not pai...

REVIEW: Me Against the QB by Billie Bloom (First Times #3)

Review: This book is best described as sex-on-a-stick. Pure unadulterated hot, steamy, sex. It’s also light-hearted, fun, and sweet. It’s my first Billie Bloom novel, and I’m sure I’ll be back for more when I’m in need of an upbeat story. Colby is a star quarterback and a wild partying playboy in need of some babysitting. Enter Bodie, the safe, compliant, son of Colby’s agent. He identifies as graysexual, doesn’t party, doesn’t do anything remotely unexpected of him. Thanks impart to his overbearing and demanding father. Who has tasked Bodie with keeping Colby out of the limelight for a few weeks. As these complete opposites collide (which was unavoidable with hurricane Colby orbiting around), they discover that their passion goes beyond the bedroom. And the ride is pretty sweet. They both change the other, helping each other to realize what is missing from their life. Watching them find themselves was really sweet. Blog Tour, Excerpt, & Giveaway: Forever, Con Amor by A.M. Johnson

Blog Tour, Excerpt & Giveaway: Forever, Con Amor By A.M. Johnson For Him, Book 4 Chance, I never in a million years thought I would want a guy who smells like a tree and probably hugs them on the daily, but alas, you've somehow snuck your sexy, khaki-covered ass into my life. It doesn't help that we're stuck living in this apartment together for God knows how long, but I can't stop thinking about that kiss. I know I said it was one and done, and maybe that's the smart thing to do since I'm not convinced of your emotional availability. Maybe I'm a masochist. Or, maybe I might kind of like you. I said what I said. No regrets, Marcos~ *** Marcos, Your ability to simultaneously compliment and insult me is probably one of my favorite things about you. I think it's part of your charm. Does that make me a masochist as well? I definitely like to torture myself. The night I kissed you, I knew it had the potential to push you away, but I couldn...

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: Boyfriend Freeze by DJ Jamison

Review: If you like over-the-top bratty, flirty types that blurt out whatever they are thinking then this is perfect for you. A light, happy, college-age romance with lots of banter and button-pushing. I don’t love that type of character, so Ollie isn’t my favourite, but it has nothing to do with the writing, the story is cute and fun and flows well. I do like Graham, slightly awkward, geeky, but steady and loving. He is my type. And I enjoyed the way they embraced each other's characters and love one another for it, not trying to change them. So if you find yourself drawn to those types of stories and characters then I have no doubt that you will really enjoy this story. Narrator Darcy Stark has a great voice for these young happy characters, bringing them alive and capturing the light, low angst story. 🕮 Boyfriend Freeze by @author_dj_jamison 📚 Add to your TBR ➟ https://bit.ly/3smW2pl 🎧 Audible ➟ https://bit.ly/3smW2pl Synopsis: I've made a lot of mistakes, but you can...

NOVELLA SERIES REVIEW: Hot Takes by T.S. Ankney

Image
A series of steamy, insta-love mm romance novellas by T.S. Ankney Book One, Review: I love a good erotic and kinky short story. The length lends itself well to a sizzling hot and passionate romance. Dante and Eli are instantly drawn to each other, Dom and Sub instinctively feeling a connection. But trust takes time, especially if you’ve been hurt before, and sexual compatibility isn’t all that’s needed to have a future. I enjoyed the sensual overtones throughout the story, not just during the obvious intimate moments. And I’m glad these two got their happy ending. This is my first T.S. Ankney story, and I will definitely be checking out more of them. Especially when I need a hit of something hawt!
