Review

I like the world EM & Cora have built in this new monster romance; it’s enticing, and allows for so many potential storylines and romances.


An alliance between humans and monsters has humans doing their duty for ‘god and country’ in a way that is unexpected and a little unusual.


Everest is happy to perform his service, but then he is paired with Rathyn. A complicated military commander who’s world view is completely different the humans.


It leads them down a complicated path where they are not supposed to be together, and politics exist that not everyone knows about. 


But this fated pair learn to navigate it all together, and they build a found family worth protecting.


Some parts were a little too over the top for me, but I have no doubt this will be a favourite for many.

Synopsis

When portals from another world split open the sky, humanity braces for war… only to discover the monsters from Erethar aren’t here to conquer. They need something from humans. Something oddly specific in order to survive.
