This is going to be one interesting, crime-filled and suspenseful series.


Con man Gabriel is trying to lay low, and Heartstone Island, where a mysterious inheritance lays, seems as good as any place.


Only, laying low proves to be a little difficult with suspicious characters and crime surrounding them all.


Upon arriving in town, he meets Casey, a Park Ranger, whom he instantly dislikes. But we all know what happens when someone gets under your skin, and I can’t wait for these to collide, because the dislike is mutual, but so is the attraction. But they also can’t seem to avoid each other. 


They are going to be incredible together, I can feel it.


Special shout out to Elton, the old man who has been taking care of the inheritance, and who quickly becomes a friend. I love his gruff matter-of-fact manner.

Synopsis

Jaded confidence man Gabriel Karne is on the run. A literal snarling, slobbering guard dog nips at his heels.

Less than twenty-four hours on the island and Gabriel's had a nasty confrontation with two local good ol’ boys, earned a trespassing citation from an infuriating but compelling forest ranger, and offered to search for a missing person. So much for lying low.

Being off his game only partially explains why Gabe would rather focus on a stranger’s bad luck than his own. Fact is, he's always had a soft spot for losers and maybe, just maybe, he's tired of the game.


The Last Grift is the first installment in the Subtle Deceptions series, a small town mystery with romantic elements. The series, part of the Piedras Island and Veiled Intentions universe, is written in the third person and follows the unplanned adventures in the life and love of the disreputable Gabriel Karne.

  ALL I FEAR All’s Fair - Book Two by Abrianna Denae Release Date: September 19, 2023 Review protective, possessive and violent men.  Tennant and Hollis are an incredible pair. Kinky in the wildest way, they are everything and I adored them (even if slightly disturbed too).   Roman is heir to the Amato family and Tennant, as second in command, must shape him into the man he needs to be to one day takeover. Roman is a bit bratty and wild. Truthfully I don’t really care for him, but he certainly makes for an interesting dynamic to both Tennent and Hollis’ lives.
