Review

Dorian has always been an intriguing character that I’ve looked forward to getting to know better.  He’s completely his own person, but also driven by never quite feeling like he’s good enough, thanks to his parents who, quite frankly, suck, despite being an incredibly talented and successful man. He needs someone who stands by him and cheerleads for him.

Jamie Jamieson - well, I am madly in love with the man. And for the record, I would always call him Jamie Jamieson, LOL.  He’s looking for a fresh start. He deserves a fresh start, and the Orcas are absolutely the best place to do that. The coaches are wonderful standup people, and the players are such a terrific gang of guys.  I also love his family and his relationship with them.  He’s the perfect person for Dorian. Caring, thoughtful, and believes in him full stop. And gives him a family that loves.

One of my favourite aspects was that they both naturally knew how to support each other, even in the very beginning when they barely knew each other. It was all kinds of sweet.

Truly, I adored this book, it may be my favourite (shhh, don’t tell the others).

Synopsis

When he broke off his engagement to his team captain's brother the day before their wedding, Jamie Jamieson swore he'd never get involved with anyone associated with a teammate again. Getting traded to the Orcas is a chance at a fresh start, but one glance at his new housemate, and Jamie knows he's in way over his head.

Dorian is his new coach's cousin. And his team's social media coordinator. And his housemate.

It's the trifecta of bad ideas.

Dorian Shore doesn't do hockey. He's lived by that rule for years, ever since a season playing as a kid left him with emotional scars. But his new housemate—a big, buff, beautiful athlete who gets under his skin—makes him seriously consider doing a hockey player.

It’s not a good idea.

They live together.

They work together.

When the sparks between them ignite, will it be game on or game over?
