Bean - you are everything!

Okay, so full story, I can relate with Bean.  I’ve suffered a minor TBI, have chronic migraines, vertigo, and ADHD, so I know what it’s like to feel like your brain is working against you and the frustration and anger that can bring out, and it’s nothing compared to what this beautiful man is dealing with. And yet he tries to face each day grateful for being alive.

Bean is so lovely and him discovering that he could be loved as he is - gah, I’m not crying, really.

Jarek is himself a true gem. Life has brought blows and big changes and he’s feeling out of sorts. But meeting Bean, he discovered what truly loving and being loved actually feels like.

These two are special. But so are their friendships. Especially Nash. That man deserves every ounce of loyalty and love that he has coming to him. We really get to know him better and he’s outstanding.

Synopsis

After my medical discharge from the Army due to a brain injury, I’ve had to reinvent myself. Not easy when I can’t even remember what I ate for breakfast.

Or the hot, older guy I went home with. Oops.

When I run into him a second time and hit him up as if we’ve never met before, Jarek’s a little insulted. I can’t exactly blame him. But when he learns my memory is shit, he seems flattered I’ve picked him up twice.

And he’s all in for hooking up again. And then again. Our chemistry is off the charts.

We’re just friends with benefits, nothing more. I want to take my time exploring who I am, and Jarek wants the happily ever after and white picket fence.

But the more time we spend together, the more I question if it’s really only friendship I want from him. I’m getting awfully attached. Could it be we want the same thing?

Bean is the second book in the Honorably Discharged series, featuring a sweet guy who’d forget his own name if he didn’t write it down, a guy who thought he’d never find love again, found family, an age gap, friends-with-benefits to lovers, hurt/comfort, and a steamy happily ever after.

About Nora Phoenix

Would you like the long or the short version of my bio?

The short? You got it.

I write steamy gay romance books, and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.

How was that?

A little more detail? Gotcha.

I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.

My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.

Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.
