Review

An emotional story that will put you through the wringer but keep you smiling too.

Sean is an emotional wreck who has not dealt with his grief. He will make you want to curl up into a ball and cry with him, while also wanting to beat him with a pillow. He deserves love but so does Jonah. And Jonah is the most amazing, kind-hearted guy.

They are great together, but it’s also not an easy journey.

Chasing Hope is full of just that, HOPE. And growth. And love. And a small town that is beyond caring and welcoming.

I love that they don’t hold mistakes against anyone. They will rally around them to support and life them up.

The topics are tough, but Gwen handles them with care and compassion.

Synopsis

Sean is only twenty-seven, but he’s already lost everything that gave him life. Gwen Martin is from Florida where the sun was always shining, and the humidity is always high. In 2020 she and her partner moved to Knoxville for a change of scenery with their five cats, and a whole lot of dreams.

Writing came to her at a young age, where she scribbled stories instead of paying attention to math lessons. She spent many years in fandom, exploring her writing opportunities before deciding to take the dive into self-publishing.
