REVIEW: Ritual of the Broken by Seb L. Carter (Haunted Hearts Series)

THE RITUAL OF THE BROKEN Haunted Hearts Series by Seb L Carter Release Date: September 30, 2024 Review I believe Seb L. Carter is a mage because there is definitely magic in them those pages! It’s a fascinating story and the way in which Seb builds the story and introduces us to the characters captures you and keeps you enthralled the whole 400 and some pages. And it contains a well-developed world of supes and magic but not so complex that you (I mean me) get confused. Not to mention one hell of a ‘case’ that keeps you twisting and turning. Ollie and Adrian’s story works really well. With Adrian’s mistrust of mages and Ollie’s kind of snark disposition. They both have some walls to break down and issues to overcome, but it makes their relationship all the more believable and satisfying. Truthfully I’m a little mistrusting of mages now too. I want more. More of Haunted Hearts, but also more of this world and these characters! Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis A ritualistic

REVIEW: Salt & Vinegar by Clare London

SALT & VINEGAR Games We Play - Book One by Clare London Release Date: September 30, 2024 Review On the face of it, this a really sweet summer love story, with a hint of something unknown. A shy guy becomes a regular at the fish & chip shop Joe works at. And though Joe is normally pretty carefree about sex and relationships, something about Steven calls to him in a different way. They build something sweet and tender, but it’s also clear that Steven is holding on to something. And when that comes to light…it’ll break your heart. Thankfully their connection is strong enough to overcome it all and find their happy ending. It’s a really nice romantic story that makes you feel all sorts of emotions and definitely takes you on a journey.   RULE BREAKER Bar Down - Book One by Ava Olsen Release Date: September 30, 2024 Review Oh my gosh is there anything better than a sunshiney golden retriever hockey player breaking down the walls of a grumpy standoffish goalie? I say no! Kayden is an all-around good guy who wants people to be happy and feel welcome. So it’s only to be expected that he gets paired up with the least friendly person alive. Maddox. The Canadian goalie who doesn’t trust easily. I love a prickly exterior. It makes their inevitable fall into mushy love so satisfying. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Maddox Rocher: Hockey is the only thing I care about. College? Hell no. And the last thing I need is Kayden, a golden retriever teammate who thinks I’m gonna drop my surly attitude and become his BFF. And we’re

AUDIO REVIEW: Murphy's Law by Riley Hart (Havenwood #2)

MURPHY’S LAW Havenwood - Book Two by Riley Hart Release Date: April 19, 2020 Audio Review Date: June 16, 2020 Review Remy and Lawson have such a wonderful first me. It was special. But then life happened and it pulled them apart, hurting both of them. What followed was a hard fought for reunion and second chance.  And trust me, I love an emotional second chance story. There’s something so satisfying about someone getting do over. Healing past hurts. Getting to know each other again as they are now. Though both men had changed with life, they were still perfect for one another. Still lifting each other up and being the others safe space. Truly a wonderful story. Kale Williams also did a nice job of the audiobook, bring the emotional style of the story to life. Add to your TBR List GOODREADS LINK Synopsis Lawson We were eighteen when I met Remington Monroe. I'd never seen anyone like him. He got onstage at the coffeehouse, armed with a guitar and corny jokes...but unable to hide hi
