Review

New to Me author Aiden Wilde gives us a childhood best friends - second chance story. Aiden has a distinctive writing style and weaves a story that feels a bit soulmates with some bi-awakening, and a lot of fun sexual exploration. 


Chad’s divorce leads him to look up his old best friend, Matty. In need of a connection and to do something for himself. So he proposes a camping trip, similar to the one they took years ago and led to years of not speaking.


Matty is in a tough place in life. He’s an artist, but that doesn’t fully support him and his son since his wife passed away. His struggle to ‘life’ can be the only explanation for him giving in to Chad’s wild suggestion.


There’s a lot of dude bro-ing, which actually kinda felt real. And their camping trip gave them a chance to explore their feelings. 


Chad’s a bit of an eager puppy. He’s easily excitable and a little wild. Matty on the other hand needs to think things through, both for his heart and for his son.
