Review
A delicious and spicy enemies-to-lovers story by a fav author.
It has all the best elements of the trope, sexual tension and misconstrued hate. But they both have a vulnerability that is hidden underneath. They just need to share it with each other, you know, once they stop despising each other.
“And I’d never needed softness before. Not before him. I’d taken care of myself and got through just fine. I was resilient and self-sufficient. I’d anchored myself to withstand any storm. Until him.”
I loved the increasingly tender moments that transpired at unexpected moments and as they worked through some significant hurts that life has doled out.
In the end, Marshall turns out to be the world's best boyfriend, and Valentine is quite deep.

Synopsis
Marshall
I hate Valentine Tye.
I’ve hated him since we were ten years old. I hate everything he is, everything he stands for. Even the mention of his name gets my back up.
And when I see him?
My blood boils. My jaw clenches and my hands curl into fists. That’s how much I hate him.
I want to cause him pain. I want to hold him down and actually hurt him.
And if that’s not bad enough, that’s exactly what he wants me to do to him.
Valentine
I know what people think of me. I know what they assume. They all think I’m some spoiled rich guy who’s had everything handed to him.
They don’t know me at all.
Behind my carefully constructed walls is an emptiness so dark it scares men away. I like pain. I like being used. For some messed up reason, it validates me. I don’t need love or affection or, hell forbid, emotional attachment.
What I need is a man who hates me, a man who despises me.
A man like Marshall Wise.
Because never in a million years would he ever feel anything for me.
Right?
About NR Walker
N.R. Walker is an Australian author, who loves her genre of gay romance. She loves writing and spends far too much time doing it, but wouldn't have it any other way.
She is many things; a mother, a wife, a sister, a writer. She has pretty, pretty boys who she gives them life with words.
She likes it when they do dirty, dirty things...but likes it even more when they fall in love. She used to think having people in her head talking to her was weird, until one day she happened across other writers who told her it was normal.
She’s been writing ever since…
