Gah. The ending. I'm melting into a puddle of sentimental goo!

Honestly, Lucas is the story we long needed. He's such a presence. Unapologetically himself, fierce, but also soft and kind to those he loves.

And he found the best kind of man for him. One that doesn’t walk on eggshells around him and is willing to apologize when he messes up. Although maybe a few eggshells could have been used in their first meeting!

Frankie is a good man who can’t help but do the right thing, even if he’s exhausted and lonely. First, it was his teenage brothers, who have grown into good men. Then he gets a call that they have a baby sister who needs a home.

He may be an excellent caregiver, but having a partner who can cook, help raise the little girl, and love him is something he could only dream of.

Also, I may have to adopt the art of nest building in my living room on a rough day.
