Review

I might just wade into a den of rattlesnakes if it means Trip will come to my rescue!! What a lovely man.  He’s so kind and gentle. And he’s the perfect neighbour.  I would be secretly planning our wedding to if he showed me any ounce of attention.

This story is charming and lovely, with a bit of external drama to keep things exciting.

Sam is a great character. Lively and sparkly, the perfect offset to our charming cowboy. And the sexual awakening that Sam delivers Trip is pretty sweet.

This found family series is a spin-off, so I’m off to catch up on the other stories and family members.

PS. Listen to the audiobook. Blake Lockheart was fantastic as the narrator.  It’s my first by them, but I’m certainly hopeful I’ll come across him again.

Synopsis

Sam reminds me of the horses we rescue. Scarred, skittish, and…strong. Beautiful.

He’s a bit of a hat-stealer, and, truth be told, I’m a little leery of his chosen profession. The things he does in front of a camera... Well, it makes me blush just thinkin' about it. But if that scar on his face is any indication, he could use somebody at his back. I aim to be that person.

And yeah, some of my parts get confused by the fact that he’s all delicate and sparkly, but that’s not important. Even if the good hand lotion has somehow made it into the tack room.

I just hope he knows that he’ll always be safe with me.

It's official. I now identify as Wrangler-sexual, and it’s entirely the fault of Trip Goodnight. He's the strapping cowboy next door and will someday be the father of my two-point-five children. He just doesn't know it yet.

We’re an unlikely pairing, what with him being a straight cowboy and me being a gay sex worker, but those, darling, are mere details. When he saves me from a literal nest of rattlesnakes, it’s nothing if not true love. I’m aiming for a spring wedding.

In fact, I’ve stolen Trip’s cowboy hat and used it in one of my videos, so I’m already well on my way to making him mine. Besides, he’s the first man outside of my found family who’s made me feel safe. Protected.

That’s gotta count for something...right?

Bisexual awakening, hurt-comfort, size difference, friends to lovers

About Kelly Fox

I write contemporary gay romance, which is to say that I curse way too much, drink exactly the right amount of red wine, and sleep far too little. I’m also lucky enough to live in Central Texas with my wife and two dogs, where the astonishing diversity of humans and landscapes and tattoo shops serve as my muse.
