Review
I was unprepared for exactly how disturbing this was going to be. And yet, I’m not mad about it. I was utterly glued to the page the entire way through, and though numerous times I said I should put it down, stop reading, because oh my god, I just couldn’t do it. I couldn’t look away.
The writing is fantastic, and every time you think it can’t get more disturbing the author leads you down another path of terror. The way they crafted the characters, especially Jonah, created an extremely likeable yet deeply troubled person, weaving between then and now.
I was stunned. I think I wanted to hate it, but I just couldn’t. I couldn’t deny how great a story it was.
