This story is hotter than the fire in the fireplace. Seriously, Santa is blushing.


Hig and his son’s best friend Brant find themselves alone, sharing his home during a snowstorm. It’s sweet as they awkwardly figure out how to interact with one another without Hig’s son there. And as they both try and ignore the naughty thoughts they are having. But there’s nothing like a snowstorm to help two blokes get together. And once they break the ice, these two certainly make up for lost time.


They are both at a bit of a crossroads in their lives, wanting to explore the freedom to have some fun that they had both missed out on - being a young father and child actor meant their lives weren’t completely their own. It was a great commonality that tied them together despite the age gap.


I also loved Hig’s relationship with his son. I loved how close they were and how supportive they were of each other. It was also fun to see Brant experiencing a lot of Christmas firsts.


It was a great mix of heat, heart, and humour.


I wished there was a bit more Christmas Falls in it, but I’m super excited to head Down Under for the Vet Shop Boys spinoff.
